More and More
I spent lots of this month traveling, both in both real and theoretical manners, to other times and places. Brad and I had a fantastic trip to Romania, where he served a mission for our church 9 years ago, and met and saw some faithful and spectacular people and sights. This month we've also been reading Thomas Friedman's book, From Beirut to Jerusalem, and I'm shocked to find out how little I know about that part of the world. Hungering for more and more, I'm keeping this entry short so I can finish reading the book and plan my next trips--to the Ukraine and India this winter!

Okay, this comment is probably going to be really random.
I was searching google for "Abby Jardine" and your gallery from May 2004 came up. Unfortunately, I could not view the photos because they have been taken down, so I'm not even sure if the Abby Jardine in your photos is the same Abby Jardine that I am searching for. However, they may be one and the same since you are from (were from?) the Seattle area and have pictures of someone named Sarah Jardine and are Mormon. I know that Abby's sister lived in Seattle, but I cannot remember her name.
To make this rather rambly comment shorter, I was wondering if you had contact information for Abby. Or rather, if you could ask Abby if she knew someone named Katt from WAPA and then pass my contact information to her? I would be super appriciative!

Claire, it's been so long. I loved "From Beirut to Jerusalem." IT was an excellent read. I didn't know Brad served in Romania. Have either of you read "Balkan Ghosts" by Robert Kaplan? Kaplan spends a good portion of the book in Romania. I'm so glad you have a blog, so I can peek in on you once in a while. :) Joyce Brinton (Anderson)
