Encircled in the Arms of His Love

September is always nice, since it always is the month of the General Relief Society Women's Conference Broadcast. In our stake, the Relief Society sponsored a stake temple night on the Thursday beforehand, and had a woman from our stake as well as one of the temple matrons speak briefly to the attendees about the temple and the blessings of the Lord in their lives. We had a wonderful turnout for the session and being in the celestial room with so many terrific women and men from our stake was like a big welcome home. Then on Saturday evening, as is now a tradition in our stake, the men from the High Council prepared and served all the women dinner just prior to the broadcast. The meal was delicious, and being able to sit back and not worry about the preparations or menu was a real treat. The broadcast itself was a welcomed refueling with tender reminders of the love God has for each of us and the good we are capable of if we keep trying to do our best. I so love my calling in the Stake Relief Society Presidency as Education Counselor, and the incredible blessings I receive from associating with intelligent, capable, loving, and genuinely good women in this world!
