Beginning Gardener

Turns out, even on the 7th floor of a downtown condo, effective gardening can take place. I've signed up for several Seattle Tilth (free!) classes to show me how. The first, "Fall and Winter Veggie Gardening in Containers," was excellent. I don't remember anyone really walking me through the selection, planting, and nurturing phases of gardening before. I'm looking forward to the upcoming classes too--composting for apartment dwellers, edible flower gardens in containers, container stir-fry gardening, and container salad gardening. I know I'll need to start small, but am so looking forward to even little successes, as well as having Thorvald and Astrid eventually helping and learning about gardening too!
